I'm very grateful to be able to enjoy spring in the Smokies.  We have a nice mix of rain and sunshine this spring that has inspired an explosion of growth.  We have the Fire Flys in Elkmont next week and the Flame Azalias the middle of the month on Grogory Bald in Cades Cove.  I hope that you will be able to enjoy at least one of those two events.  The Rhododendron and Mountain Laurel will put on a show throughout the park all through the month.
