Thanks for another great post, Doug. I am so going to enjoy meeting the people you have encountered. I, too, love people. A few years ago I spent 6 weeks touring Tennessee seeking out family history. One of my goals was to stay long enough in each area to get to know the people and the culture. It was amazing. Thanks for introducing us to Ron. I will be reading his book for sure.

I had to memorize IF in Jr High as a consequence of doing something wrong, don't recall exactly what. I certainly didn't appreciate it at the time but over the years have referenced the poem many times "when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you"

This was one of my father's favorite poems - I heard it quoted by him so many times - he even had it on the wall. Very wise man, Mr. Rudyard Kipling! Thanks for reminding me of his words.
