Reflections Of The Smokies

When I let go and just do the footwork, things seem to start working out.  Sometimes my ego puts me in charge and I get frustrated.  When I'm trying to run the whole show things never seem to work out.  Why won't people act right? The Great truth is that people and things are just fine.  It's my reaction to them that gets out of alignment.  Granted, things sometimes aren't just or right.  Maybe someone has done me wrong.  I have to let that go and move on.  But before I move on I have to try and clean up any mess I've made.

Yet all is well!  Spring is coming despite the lingering snow,  The rododendron is budding and getting ready to pop!  I did some hiking in the snow today and really took in the last deep snow I'll see for a few months.  In a few days the snow will start going away again and stay away for a while.

Hi Doug,
Take a deep breath...all will be fine.
Sometimes life throws obstacles your way but in the long run it will work itself out.
God Bless!

Hang in there Doug. If it helps everything happens for a reason even if its not apparent at first.

Doug,
There is a book of philosphy called The Art of Living by Epictetus. It talks a lot about this. If you have not read it pick up a copy. It is just a little book and I would say an easy read but it is so profound I cannot say that.

You certainly have a healthy reaction to adversity! "Clean up and move on,"... If only more people could live and work by that philosophy! I like that! Stay positive! Now go take some awesome pictures! Love Freshour

Doug- Great philosophy to live by...if more people would try it, there would be a lot less heartache in the world. Love your blog...keep up the great work. Can't wait to get back up on Leconte this spring.
