Reflections Of The Smokies

Thick clouds settled down in the valley to offer another beautiful view of the sunset from Mt. LeConte.  The sky was vast and intensely blue.  It wasn't possible to capture the infinate calming blue of the sky at sunset.  I hope that I can look at this image and remember the way I felt as I looked up into an endless sky.  Once again I was reminded of what a small but important part we all are of an unimaginably large whole.

Yes, a beautiful photo; shows a perspective of the depth of the sky; the universe is infinite and it can invoke infinite feelings and emotions; contemplating its depths is, well, zooooom, right over my head ! nice photos, as usual. thanks.

Doug- What an awesome experience. And no worries... I'm sure you'll remember the feeling. Views and experiences like this I really believe are gifts to us.

It brings to my soul the peace I feel when standing small amoung our beloved mountains. I am so thankful for your eye and understanding of true beauty. I can look at this and see mountains and clouds or sunset at the beach. Those clouds look so much like the ocean. Beautiful!
