Glad you didn't close down your blog. Raw ramps are also good, but as you say they last several days.
I love ramps...in eggs...fried potatoes..or raw they just can't be beat. And it does make things alot easier if your "love" also likes them!
The foliage looks like a Lady Slipper although it may be too early for them. What a crazy season already. I noticed the weather perdiction is calling for snow on Thursday and a low of 34 by Friday morning.
Ramps and chipotle sauce ought to go great together! w/Eggs, n'grits, n sausage. Ramps are also a good way to get rid of people who are vexatious to the spirit.

Just a note, are these available to PICK in the PARK? And make sure they know Ramps vs. lady Slippers. Had the unfortunate experience on a Flower pilgrimage to see lady slippers only to see someone had dug them up on our way back, they were gone. SAD. But I guess living in TN now I'll have to give em a try. Hey I did Collard greens. Kind of like spinach. Enjoy the mountain; hope to see you this year. Ken
Poor Millie.
Ramps are not available to harvest in the National Park. If you want some to eat you will have to get them from outside the park.
