As you probably know there is plenty of bear activity in the park this spring.  Park Service Rangers tell me that this sign was chewed up by a curious bear.  Oh the irony!  I hope you have the opportunity to educate someone about reducing bear interactions in the Smokies.  The best piece of advice I have heard given to an uneducated hiker is, "A fed bear is a dead bear."
